Diarrhea means passing loose or watery stools more frequently than usual. It’s a common problem that can affect anyone and usually lasts a few days. While it often resolves on its own, persistent or severe diarrhea can lead to dehydration and may require medical attention.
The treatment consists on good/appropriate hydration (water, oral rehydration solutions, or broth), eating light foods (like bananas, rice, toast, etc), avoiding dairy, caffeine, and greasy foods, adding certain medications to control the episodes, and avoiding stress.
